The student will create a power point that will share information about themselves concerning their personal likes and dislikes. The project will give the student an opportunity to enhance their creative computer skills, while allowing the other students in the class the ability to get to know their peers on a more personal level . Hopefully this will lead to the building of positive relationships within the classroom environment.

The learner will investigate a allied health career of their choice and create a power point that will be presented to the class. The student will research the following items:

3. What type of personal characteristics must you have to perform the profession?
4. What type of certification/credential are required by governing agencies,and what is the process of obtaining and maintaining those credentials? Is there continuing education required for the profession?
5. What is the typical salary scale for the profession?

Chapter 22- Illegal Drugs
The learner will be introduced to all of the different types of illicit drugs and the specific categories of drugs.

Chapter 17 - Prenatal Development
The learner will be introduced to the process of human fertilization, implantation, and the stages of embryotic/fetal development. Also, heredity, genetics, and genetic disorders will be discussed in detail. Finally, the stages of infancy and childhood will be explained, along with the different types of childhood health screenings that will be performed.

The Baby Project-Sock Baby
The student will be participating in a teen parenting project in which they will be required to create a sock baby and a birth certificate to present to the class on Tuesday, April 23. Then for seven days the student will keep a journal in which they will document everything that was done to take care of the baby and themselves. Also, the student will be required to produce a cost analysis for everything needed to care for their babies for the first year of the babies life. Finally, the student is required to write a two page paper describing how having a child at this time in their lives would change their lives. The final project is due on Monday, April 29.
