The student will be assigned a Non-Communicable Disease to research and create a power point that will identify the symptoms of the disease, describe the effects the disease has on the body, and describe the course of treatment. The power point should consist of a minimum of 6 slides that will cover specific questions outlined in the instructions on a handout given to each student. The last slide should include all works cited. Finally, each student will be required to present their power point to their peers in an effort to teach the remaining class member about the specific disease.

All About Me
The student will create a power point that will share information about themselves concerning their personal likes and dislikes. The project will give the student an opportunity to enhance their creative computer skills, while allowing the other students in the class the ability to get to know their peers on a more personal level . Hopefully this will lead to the building of positive relationships within the classroom environment.

4. What type of certification/credential are required by governing agencies,and what is the process of obtaining and maintaining those credentials? Is there continuing education required for the profession?
5. What is the typical salary scale for the profession?

Chapter 17 - Prenatal Development
The learner will be introduced to the process of human fertilization, implantation, and the stages of embryotic/fetal development. Also, heredity, genetics, and genetic disorders will be discussed in detail. Finally, the stages of infancy and childhood will be explained, along with the different types of childhood health screenings that will be performed.
