Health Intervention and Extension

•         The Health Intervention/ Extension implementation for the 2019-2020 school year will                include a 45min. instruction period each week that is geared toward improving or    enhancing student outcomes are as follows;         

       A.)    For the students that score 70% or lower on the chapter or Unit assessments, the intervention process will include the completion of the chapter assessment Review section in the back of each chapter that correlates with the current unit being taught. This will be followed by at least a 15 minute instructor led review of the material. Once the intervention has been completed then the student will have the opportunity to retake the assessment again within a 24 hour period.

      B.)    If any student scores 85% or lower on an assessment they too will be able to chose to retake the assessment within a 24 hr. period to try and improve their score without having to complete the review section in the back of the chapter for an extension intervention. If the student decides not to retake the assessment then they will proceed to the next unit of study.
